Serious Sam HD is buggy, but you can still have a lot of fun with this classic remake of the first game.

User Rating: 9.5 | Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter PC
Back in 2001, Serious Sam: The First Encounter came out and I enjoyed it so much. I spent countless hours playing the Singleplayer, Multiplayer, and Co-Op. After hearing the news of an HD remake of this great game, I was a very happy boy. Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter is a very fun game and a nice remake of the first game, but the bugs in the game do keep the fun down.

PROS:
+ Same, old Serious Sam fun.
+ Its in HD.
+ Multiplayer is still a blast.
+ Steam Achievements add to the fun.
+ The epic battles are still epic.
+ For $20, its a steal.

CONS:
- Bugs in the game lower the fun factor.
- HD is the only change for the game.
- You need Steam to play Multiplayer.

Overall, Serious Sam HD is still a fun remake of the first game, but the amount of bugs in the game may ruin some of it. The new Steam Achievements add to the replayability of this game. The question now is, "Should I buy Serious Sam HD?" My answer is, "If you've never played the original Serious Sam, the you should purchase this. If you've played the original already, then you should take some caution, but $20 is still a good price for this game."
