ACHTUNG!!! SPITFIRE!!!
The game is centered around James Chase, a taciturn American who manages to be involved in virtually every major conflict of WWII (Stalingrad, Midway, Battle of Britain, overlord, operation chastise etc.) thye characters are well voiced and interesting, and the plotline is engaging (if a little stilted). the game provides an accurate (ish) reproduction of WWII plane fighting, the idea of a separate ordinance camera and 'reaction time' (for dimwits like me with sausage fingers). there is also an entertaining amount of ordinance, from the standard bullets bombs and bog roll, right the way through to guinded torpedoes and the famous 'bouncing bomb). graphics are relatively good (the only problem is perspective, in that a plane is twice the size of an aircraft carrier at 2 metres). however: a thoroughly enjoyable 'arcade' shooter in a plane (with no snakes)
