Scott Pilgrim vs the world the game is one that reaches back into the roots of 8-bit and beat em up games. Having read the book and beaten the game, I hardly see any difference in plot. Except in the game no one ever speaks. They use emoticons to express their feelings. In this game the protagonist -Scott Pilgrim- has to fight -Ramona's- Seven Evil-Exes in order to date her. This game shows many features that reference old N.E.S. -Nintendo Entertainment System- games. For example: When you beat a boss as Scott, you teleport away like in mega-man. If you play as Stephen Stills and beat a boss, you go inside of one of those green tubes like in Mario. No matter what difficulty you play, you will get your butt whipped especially on the Average Joe setting. I recommended newbies to start on Rough & Tough -medium- then to go through the shame of always dieing on Average Joe -easy- setting. For people who have beaten the game and want the achievements -xbox360- or trophies -PS3- then try beating the game on Legendary.
In this game you can pick up baddies and hit other baddies. When you level up you learn new moves that help you in the game but when you max out all of your stats, the difficulty in the game goes down. I would Recommended this to the video game veterans of the N.E.S. and people who want to know how it felt to play Old- Fashion games.
