Savage 2 turns many people's dreams into a reality...

User Rating: 9 | Savage 2: A Tortured Soul PC
Savage 2 has turned a concept many people have been waiting for for many years into reality, and executes it impressively. Visually it is brilliant, with a vast amount of textures all accurate and precise. Also, the character concepts are beautiful with an awesome arsenal of weapons.

The gameplay itself can sometimes make an individual player feel a little under-powered as it can support up to 40 players online at any one point. The ranged weapons also seem to be unrealistically week, but this isn't important as they fulfil there duty of softening enemies down, although a sniper would have been nice.

The meele system seems to work well featuring all the basics necessary as well as some fun and innovative skills and spells. The spawning system works simularly to that of battlefront, with when you die you being confronted with a character selections screen.

The RTS side of the game works well too, as the person in charge of either side more frequently than not does decide who wins and who loses. If you are skilful at this element then the chances are (as lon as you have a skillful team) you will win. Using a system like this means the game is not decided by the level of team players, or by the amount of players (as it has a team balancer) but by the pure skill of the individuals. The map editor is just an addition although difficult and complicated to use.

The pro's: innovative revolutionary game system, Wide variety of different characters and weapons, Unique skill system, Purely skill based, Fantastic website featuring every single match replay, Free with option to buy additional content, wide variety of maps

The cons: Poor map editor, Humans seem permanently stronger than beasts, weak ranged arsenal, unrealistic ranged weapons.
