After the absolutely brilliant first Episode, expectations were high for its sequel.

User Rating: 7.5 | Sam & Max Episode 202: Moai Better Blues PC
Episode 202... Episode after Episode, Telltale managed to outshine its earlier release, and Sam and Max's witty jokes arsenal seemed infinite. It wasn't.

Don't get me wrong, the humor is still there... The perfect balance between Sam's skepticism and Max's lunacy is still there. But the game itself, it fails to deliver. The beautiful environments are there, the brilliant music and voice engineering are also there, but the plot, so brilliantly integrated in S&M's first season, seems a bit shallow on this title. Only after the ending credits do you actually feel any sense of sequel. Throughout the game, you only feel as if a bunch of strange events are occuring on your neighbourhood, and you do solve them, amused at some situations (such as meeting baby Hoffa) but indifferent to many others. You get the feeling the game depends far too much on the duo's charisma, than an actual brilliant plot.

I love Sam and Max's games, and I think Telltale has done a brilliant job with the series so far, but if I had to point a low to the S&M games, I'd feel obliged to say: "Episode 202".
