Ice Station Santa is a great opening for a whole new season of fun, guns and road-kill.
This time, the crime-fighting due are up against one of the most sinister and ancient evils on this planet – Santa Claus. After traveling to the North Pole, Sam and Max realize that it's up to them to save Christmas this year (and maybe past of future years as well).
In the game you are able to travel between the North Pole and the familiar street from the first season. There are no other locations, although the street itself is a bit different, with new places to go and explore. The gameplay stayed the same as the previous games so anyone who is familiar with point and click adventure games should have no problem playing the game. For the new-comers, the game offers a simple tutorial.
The graphics look pretty much the same as they did last season, with the cartoonish 3D animation and backgrounds. The music and voice-acting is still superb and the humor retains its psychotic edge with dark and morbid jokes, as well as some old-school wacky shenanigans.
If you liked the previous season of Sam & Max, there is no reason why you shouldn't like the new one. The first episode is a great opening for the second season, and we can only hope that the rest would be as good.
