Fans will like a lot, but they still can go for SS:The Hades

User Rating: 6 | Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Juunikyuu-hen PS2
Well, I'll play short in this one, as there's not much to say. The game takes place in one of 2 most famous Saint Seiya's sagas, the Sanctuary one. You'll be playing every fight you saw in the anime, but as you finished the story mode once, you can try it again to hit the parallel fights unlocked. Then, you have the Genrou Maoken mode, and this time YOU play as the golden knights... but its completely hard at the beginning since your fighters evolve their powers like in an RPG, but your out of points to beat the firsts fights. Last but not least, a gallery mode with tons of images and stuff for all the fans.

It all seems nice on paper but when comes the gameplay... ¬¬
It's awful, the characters move slowly as hell, so your totally depending on the dash button, which is stupid, feels like the dashing on Megaman series.
The combo list is ridiculous, it's the same button mashing for almost all fighters. The ultra-special attacks are good, have to admit, but those moves can be done without all the animations and that chance for the foe to escape during the fighting, since all the special moves(like hadoukens and stuff) are mostly the same. It's way better lock an enemy in a combo and launch a special move with the MP bar full while he's in midair then wasting time filling up your ultra-move bar* and give him the chance to counter your move with his
(*as some icons appears in MP bar, you hold on O until one or more of the icons be filled)

In the end, the game works fine for the fans of the series and for the anime-based-fighting-games fans. But if your looking for a serious fighting game, pick Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, everything else but this.
