When I first started playing Sacred, I was impressed with the graphic detail, the amount of experience available, variety of monsters and numerous quests. After a while though all I wanted to do is become strong enough to dominate the monsters and complete the missions and get through the game. I have played Diablo and a number of other similar games. It seems like either these games have little new to offer or it just seems to get repetitive and you want just to complete the game and move on to another one. The end of the initial game was pretty easy and anti-climatic to finally win it. The expansion was a bit more challenging (on gold level) and required more skill and tactics to make it through to the end. The ending bad dude was very difficult (even for a level 71 gladiator) and I died several times (luckily being resurrected with the damage dealt still in tact) before finally killing him. The sequel had better offer something significantly new and different or it won't be worth playing.
