I don't understand all the negative reviews surrounding this game. I found it fun and entertaining while it lasted. This game is absolutely gorgeous, visually impressive and does what it sets out to do. The combat is simple and fun which is both a good and a bad thing, a little more variety could have went a long way. I love the executions but they are also very repetitive, this also makes the rare ones all the more enjoyable. I can see what they had hoped for with this game but I believe it just fell short due to it being a launch title.
If they had given more variety with the executions and added more weapons this game would have easily been an 8 or 9. Also one of my biggest complaints is the same character model enemies on screen. Fighting 3 shield foes that look like doppelgangers without even a color swap is just lazy given this is next gen.
Overall the game is a blast to play and show off. Its far to short and the story is generic but kept me interested. Given the overall experience I am looking forward to a sequel. I also wish they would have thrown in with Starz Spartacus or based it off of Gladiator, one can dream right. Worth the purchase and deserves atleast a 7.
