I personally like the game all in all, but I have an issue with the length of the campaign and minor details of the multiplayer. The campaign could use a lot more in the way of explaining the time between major fights. Marius' words were "Our march north was brutal, slowed by battle after battle with these embittered tribes..." We don't see any of that, just the fight to the wickerman and to save our people. Add some gameplay revolving on that as an achievement kind of thing, and let Gladiators fight each other, not just barbarians. Then it will definitely earn a higher rank.
