The new EA rugby title will please fans of the sport and as for people who aren't, Don't bother...

User Rating: 7.1 | Rugby 08 PS2
I'm very dissapointed to be honest the only reason I gave this a reasonable rating is because rugby is my favourite sport. This new title offers nothing new at all just afew fixes and some new players to the rosters other than that it's rugby 06 with a new layout.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is good and easy to use although the numbers of glitches here are too much for me. For example often your srumhalf will pass the ball to no one without you even pressing a button... This often happens on the touchline therefore you pass it out. And the drop kicking is also ver sketchy. No multiplayer is very dissapointing you now can't even play against a mate on his playstation. Boring.

Graphics:
These graphics are good enough any better and I wouldn't be able to play it on my laptop :).

Sounds:
Brilliant commentary and nice soundtrack one of the better aspects of the game.

Value:
This game isn't worth the money if u already own Rugby 06 if not and u play rugby why not.

My worst part about this game is the team rosters and player ratings. I honestly think that the makers of this game haven't watched a proffesional rugby game in their lives. As a start there are only 4 leagues of teams as opposed to FIFA's which is a whole lot more. On top of hardly any teams the player ratings are also an absolute shocker for example Tuiqiri is a star player rated over 90 where as he wasn't even chosen for Austrailia in the World cup and he is a useless rugby player. Another example is Pierre Spies who is regarded as one of the best 8'th men in the world. In Rugby 08 they say he is a fly half? Put him on SA's reserve list? and rated him 72?. There are far more blunders to this part of the game and I really think that the EA team need to do some research first...

All in all the world league is great fun which makes this game worth playing so if u like rugby give it a shot. If not stay away or rent it first if ur interested.
