Rome Total War is simply amazing i all ways. The campaign mode is a bit hard to grasp at first but then it grows on you and before you know it you cant get enough of. The custom battles are great as you can pick alot of teams to fight each other and you can seige castles and afterwards you can record it so you can watch it later. When you see your newly trained pikemen against elephants you can zoom in to see the crunch. In the gold edition package you get Barbarian Invasion aswell which adds even more teams and a diiferent campaign mode so you can become the barbarians and slaughter the roman empire. Rome Total War has alot of historical battles which lets you play famous battles and the Barbarian Invasion expansion pack gives you even more battles to choose from. Rome Total War is a huge step forward from the already amazing Medieval Total War.
