Great multiplayer fun and a decent story line for Rocky fans.
It is a very simple pick up and play style game. Where complexe combo punches can be done simply (after learning the buttons) leaving you feeling very satisfied.
The story mode basically follows the story of the film, hence it being called "tale of the tape" as it is. Litterally. Rocky fans are sure to get a kick outa pummeling the "bosses" such as Ivan Drago and Mr T!! lol!
But I found the main fun to be had in the game is when you face off with a friend. Me and some m8s ended up laughing our butts off at watching each other frantically mashing the A button to try and recover from knock downs. Beating each others player to a pulp is hella fun!
Overall - A good game. The story mode is pretty much spot on for Rocky fans, as you'll enjoy fighting your way to the top and facing off with Apollo for the first time and continue Rocky's carrer until he ends up fighting Tommy Gunn in the parking lot on the last level. I found the real fun in the game is when you get a couple of mates round, crack open some beers and start the frenzied button mashing. Very entertaining!!!
BTW, by now this game is available for £5-10 from bargin bins in game stores, so it's well worth getting your hands on a copy.
