If this game had another name, noone would notice...
This is the most hyped game of all times, and marketing and branding works. Seems like everyone are brainwashed into believing this is an amazing game.
Well, it's not....
It's just one more installment of Halo, and in my opinion it's evolution has slowed down over the years. The first game was a revolution graphics wise and gameplay wise. Halo 3 is hardly distinguishable from Halo 2. Even Half Life 2, running off a dated engine, looks far better in the new Orange Box.
If you want to see the true next generation FPS game, please check out Bioshock instead. Halo 3 is just a big pile of marketing and hype, that does not deserve it's position at all when there are so many better games around. And frankly, I'm pretty annoyed they are selling so well for such a mediocre product.
I played through only a portion of Halo 3, and I do not feel much like playing any further. It's just the same over again, and I am bored. The FPS genre is way too crowded already, they have to do better than this...
