Synthenasia at it's finest, Rez will trance you into a world of beats and amazement. Codenamed K-Profect, and developed by United Game Artists under Tetsuya Mizuguchi, this game is in a class of it's own. It's a game you must play to fully understand.

The gameplay is very nice and simple. Guide the aim over the enemy, hit X, let go of X, and boom. You defeated an enemy. Sounds bland, eh? Add techno beats and music to everything you do. When you hit X, it makes a sound on beat. Let go, it makes another. The enemy being destroyed creates another. As the game advances, the beats get more and more complicated, as you upgrade yourself. I've never seen graphics like Rez's. Everything pulsates with the beat as you make you're way through each level. I've never seen anything like it, so I can't compare, but it looks good to me.

The sound is amazing, and is what makes the game. It puts you in a trance and after five minutes of playing you'll be hunched over in your chair, mouth agape, and sucked in.

The value is alright, but the game is very short. Beyond mode has plenty of unlockables but nothing to make you go wow. No multiplayer either.

All in all, this game is great, and if you haven't played it, you're missing out.
