one of the best shooters to hit the PS3!!!
first the singleplayer campaign, after kickin arse in britain from the chimera you hop into chopper only to realise your being abducted then you realise its just these supersoldiers called sentinals that have the chimeran virus and use their immunity to there advantage to flogg the chimera and Hale has only a couple of months left to live so he has to make his last days count and as the game progresses the virus in Hale starts to overcome him and if you compare Hale from what he looks like at the beginning to what he looks like in the end you may Sh*t yourself. the bad thing about the story is that its pretty shallow and since you learned so much about the chimera in the first game you wont learn much more about them here therefore the story is set around Hale and his will to survive, but the two biggest things learn in this franchises story is, why Hale is immune, and where the Chimera came from, which makes the average story good enough to be in this game, the only bad thing about this game that bothered me was that the weapon wheel from the first game and the Ratchet and Clank games aren't in this game and its more like Call of Duty carry two weapons of your choice at once, the great controls compensate for this little change, the graphics are a bit hit and miss for examples most of the graphics look a bit 2007 but some scenes like the fleet of alien ships, the city from the sky, the cutscenes, and more colour in the environments, the bosses that take up the entire screen and the character models will amaze you, one more bad thing is that the final boss is a dumbarse, you dont even shoot it, the battle is way too easy, and stupid but the super fun and funny scene after the final boss makes up for it, another small gripe is that AI companians will talk through their headset and have that fuzzy voice regardless if they're even right in front of you talking straight at your face they will sound like they are talking through their headset and have that wierd voice nomatter whats going on, but other than that the game is superiourly excellent, the weapons and enemies are excellent and have heaps of variety for example instead of the conversion centres chimeran hybrids start off as zombie like things before they're converted to soldiers and the zombie ones hunt in packs similar to left 4 dead and its so funny when you kill a horde of them at one with the splicer gun or the shotgun, the combat is fun and similar to COD, and the sixaxis to melee is cool.
now the multiplayer UP TO 60 PEOPLE IN ONE HUGE MAP, its awesome and accounts for lots of fun shenanigans but if its too frantic go to skirmish which puts you into groups to do certain objectives, the co-op is very similar to skirmish but you and 8 online buddies take on the chimera in three classes you can choose, spec-ops, soldiers, medic and they're are balanced out equally well its just a shame the co-op has nothing to do with the campaign.
so thats Resistance 2 and its one of the best shooters to hit the ps3
