Resident Evil Outbreak File 2, phew, is the sequel to the great Resident Evil Outbreak. The game shows the original eight survivors still trying to survive the outbreak of bioligical weapons in Racoon City. Once again the plotline is split into several different levels. Each having absolutely no relation to the last, no change there. The communicational system has been changed adding more direct speech as well as two new pieces of dialogue. The bonus system is here again, except if you have the first game on your memory card, you unlock everything you had on it and unlock everything for that save also. Anyway back to the game, graphically, this looks as great as the last, with the most amazing FMV sequences. The music is definitely Resident Evil, with the way it creates a greatly sad atmosphere and a good tension before something jumps out at you. And the monsters that do jump out at you are greatly varied, from the normal zombies to giant elephants and zoo animals. A new addition to gameplay is the fact that you can now choose who is on your team as well as different formulas of friendship between different characters. And also, the online mode from the first game that was scrapped has been included here, meaning you can tackle your favourite levels with a group of friends online. Besides this, the gameplay is the same, kill zombies, solve puzzles, help your team, all of which leads to multiple endings or events. All in all, with the addition of a revamped team feature and online play, Outbreak File 2, extends the rating of its predessecor, now where are my lungs.
