As amazing as ever. The best of the series, mainly because of the Ashford family story. !PROBABLE SPOILERS!

User Rating: 10 | Resident Evil Code: Veronica X GC
I like to write my reviews in a certain order: Story, Graphics, Sound, Characters and Conclusion.

So, the story. Most of the Resident Evils are very lacking in the story department. There's a cutscene here and there, but nothing special. Code Veronica, however, has an amazing amount of story. Claire (from resi 2) is trapped on an island, which was recently owned by Umbrella, before the outbreak occurred. She then has to escape the island. Claire comes across one of the island's owners. His name being Alfred Ashford (who is one of twins, the other being Alexia Ashford). Claire eventually escapes only to be re-directed to Atlanta, where she is caught. Chris (from resi 1) then goes to look for Claire on the original island. He ends up in Atlanta and saves her.
Unnecessary to say, that the story is much deeper, as you start to feel sorry for the Ashford twins, whos lives have been completely ruined by the island outbreak. Of course, as in other resident evil games, you may need to read between the lines of the files and documents that are found throughout.
Story 10/10

And next, the graphics. Obviously not the best after all this time, but they are still highly bearable. The cut scenes have amazing graphics, that are at about the standards of Final Fantasy X (10). For those of you who haven't played the game (how can you live with yourself? :D ), check a video of it right here on Gamespot.
The character models are well-done and are unique. There is lots of originality in this game, and that shines through on the character models.
The graphics don't stand up against modern games, but if, like me, you only want graphics that push the game ahead, then look no further for a survival horror.
Graphics 8/10

Next, we move onto the sound. Great voice-acting. The camp villain that is Alfred Ashford is done to a comical level, but you can tell that it is all part of the hysteria that he emits through the documents and the words that he speaks. The music is the usual survival horror music. Drab and dreary...but this is necessary for the feel of horror. It is brilliant when you think that it is essential to be scared, as it does the job.
Sound 9/10

And now, the characters. I've already touched on some of them, so I'll expand on those.
Claire Redfield is the main character of the game, who was originally seen in Resident Evil 2. She is a "biker chick" who is looking for her brother until she gets caught and put in the island prison. It is in the prison that she meets the prison guard who lets her out because of the outbreak. This prison guard later helps Chris Redfield and sacrifices his life for Chris. Chris Redfield is on the Island to find his sister (Claire). He saves her later on and they help each other to escape. He seems to look care for and look after Claire a lot. As Claire runs around the island, she meets up with Steve. He is a gun-lover who lost his father during the outbreak. Claire and Steve help each other and escape. Steve later has the virus inserted into him and dies after a mutation.
The villains. Alfred and Alexia Ashford are the main villains of the game. They are the ancestors of the virus finders. They are very snobby and were demented even as children, where they used to pull wings off dragonflies and let them get eaten in an ant-farm. The best villains of the entire series, some say. Wesker makes an appearance, to get a sample of the "Veronica Virus", which is the strain of the T-virus in this game. He eventually gets beaten by Chris, but escapes to see another day. Wesker is originally from Resident Evil 1.
There are also the zombies and dogs etc, but they are not worth much mentioning, right?
Characters 10/10

Overall, it is an amazing game with hardly any faults. There is no easy option, so there is no temptation to make the game too easy on yourself. There is also no hard mode (I don't think), which is pretty much impossible for me (in other Resident Evils), so I never cared about this. You might, I don't know. Although there are flaws, such as some annoying back-tracking it is worth it to carry the story onwards.

Look for all of the Classifications and you'll see that all of the good points were made for this game.
