A system buyer? it was for me

You've heard that people will buy a gaming system just for one game, XBox 360 for Halo 3 or PS3 for GTA4 or MGS4, well this held true for me I bought the Dreamcast just for Resident Evil Code: Veronica and to this date Code: Veronica is the only game for my Dreamcast, A lot of you are probably thinking that I was nuts to spend nearly $199 for a gaming system when I only wanted one game for it. I'll be honest my mom thought the same thing too, but it's my call to spend that much money on whatever I want to. Resident Evil Code: Veronica was a 2 disk set, the same way that Resident Evil 2 was but instead of having each disk just set up for a character say Disk one be Leon and Disk two be Claire, they used two disks for the story which was a good move, that way they didn't cram anything onto a single disk. Code: Veronica used Capcom's 3D engine for the first time and it was a great improvement everything looked a lot better that way than it did in the previous RE games. Not that I'm complaining but with new tech things should change and boy did they ever change in this game. The game starts off with something that all RE games seemed to master over and over again, that's right it started off with a awesome opening movie, you see our heroine Clare Redfield being retained, given her prisoner number and told something I can't remember what, they than knock her out quicker than you can say DAMN! than while unconscious she remembers what led up to this. She broke into a European Umbrella base in search for her brother, after tearing up about half the building thanks to a mini gun on a helicopter, Claire is finally caught. When some comes to she is on a island that seems to have seen better times thanks to a recent attack by a rouge group. Was it a US Government raid? Not telling you, I don't want to spoil much more of this game. So onto the review The controls will take some getting used to, after all this is a dreamcast controller and not a PS controller, the visuals are very entrancing it will be hard to not forget what your doing when you get caught up looking at something, the sounds are very realistic and ominous everything from screams to moans of the dead can be heard. The voice acting is top notch as always expected from a RE game. The only down side I had with the game seemed to be the hit detection in one of the areas, when your fighting the bound father of the two main villains in this game it seems that the bullet doesn't hit where you want it to, so it takes multiple hits to try and get it. And when that's the case it isn't fun when your about to die. So in the end was getting a system for one game worth it? in my opinion yes it was but than again I'm not everyone. a 9.5 out of 10
