A bit short but it feels a bit more like the old Resident Evil we knew and love

User Rating: 7.5 | Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares PS3
Resident Evil 5 Lost in Nightmares is downloadable on the Playstation Store and XBox Live Arcade for about 4 pounds. It is in the game Resident Evil 5 under the downloadable content option.

The Story

It takes place at the Spencer Mansion Chris and Jill are looking for answers of Albert Weskers whereabouts from Oswald Spencer.

Gameplay

Well it basically has the same gameplay as Resident Evil 5 with the over the shoulder view and co- op gameplay. It does feel like the Resident Evil of old though with its puzzles and dark atmosphere. In one area you lose all your equipment and have to battle these baddies by tricking them into traps it feels like the Resident Evil of old. You don't also go forward so it takes a bit of figuring out and it feels a bit more Resident Evil like. There is also Mercarnies Renunion you get to play as Barry Burton from the first game and Excella Resident Evil 5. You also get different costumes for Chris and Sheva too and also Rebecca Chambers is also a character that you have to unlock in the Mercarnies mini game.

Sound and Graphics

The graphics are okay not brilliant but fine the atmosphere feels good the old style of Resident Evil. Resident Evil 5 to some lacked that and lacked the scare factor. While not scary it is a bit tense in certain parts.

Lastability

It will take you an hour or maybe slightly less. There is a Mercarnies Reunion but it isn't too different from the other if at all only you get to play as other characters you couldn't before.

Overall Opinion

It certain feels a bit more like the Resident Evil of old but it can be completed within an hour. It's a solid game but not something you would play again and again. For a cheap price though its worth checking out.
