Resident Evil 4 changes so much about the series, but still remains an all-around EXCELLENT game.

There isn't a whole lot that I can say that hasn't been said already, but this game owns. In all honestly, it's better than any other Resident Evil game that I've played although I do prefer the scarier style of the older games and the controls which made the game that much harder.

With that said though, this game is still a wonderful gem.

Gameplay: RE4 has excellent controls. They are much improved over the other games and the quick button presses you need to use for certain events is the icing on the cake. The point of view is great and the action is almost non-stop. I preferred the slower, clunky controls of old for the scare factor, but otherwise, Capcom did well in improving everything in this category. 9/10

Graphics: Rather breathtaking actually. Pushed the GameCube to the max in this department. 10/10

Story: Leon Kennedy has to keep Ashley, the president's daughter, out of harms way. Nice, but wasn't the strongest point of the game. Not saying it was bad, but it didn't stick out enough for me to remember it all after almost 6 years. 8/10

Characters: Many return from other games but there are some new faces also. 9/10

Sound: The sound was very, *very* good. Everything sounded like it was supposed to and this is also what helped make the game creepier. 9/10

Scare Factor: I think this game was scary at times, but mostly it was just creepy. 7/10

Replay Value: Not extremely high for the story mode but Mercenary mode was excellent and had me and my cousin coming back again and again. 8/10

Value: 9/10

Tilt: 9/10

Overall, just a sight to see. I could still play this game today and it wouldn't be any less awesome. Just a very well-made adventure that should not be missed.

Overall --> 9/10
