This is just one of those games you will play, and love every minute of it whether you enjoy horror or not.
Gameplay - Resident Evil is known for it's slow pace shooting, terrible controls, and even worse camera angles. But for some reason, we all love it! This game just takes the gameplay to the top level, it skips "the next level", this is as good as it can frikkin' get! If you want even more, stop playing games. The controls for the Gamecube are nearly flawless, still lacks the "run and gun" I've come to like after years of FPS games. The enemies are numerous at times, and in packs of two or three at times, but always suit the area they are in. The massive bosses take the best of the controls, such as throwing harpoons, or running up and cutting a "cave trolls" back. The gameplay is fast paced and makes you think, you won't be standing still for very long while a chainsaw wielding maniac is running after you.
Story - They throw everything they can in the story, every connection they can. The second I saw Ada for the first time shooting threw the window, my jaw went threw the floor. Cliffhangers galore at the end of most chapters, gripping story, no mercy towards characters, everyone spills blood or is killed. You just don't know what will happen next. Plenty of ingame movies to sit back and watch also while you dry off the sweat pouring out of you.
Graphics - Beautiful. This game's graphics alone are worth taking a look at the game. Best graphics I've seen for the Gamecube, beats most X-Box games graphics, and blows every PS2 game out of the water. Compare the GC version to the PS2 one, there's a huge and nice difference between the two.
Sound - Great bullet sounds, great voice acting, great creepy sounds, great moaning. All around amazing sounds. Turn off the lights and turn on the surround sound!
In my eyes, this is the perfect game and actually deserves straight 10s across the boards. You just can't ignore this game's greatness. And now that it's at a lower price look into buying it, you won't be disappointed with it.
This game truly deserves the title of "Masterpiece".
