Resident Evil Zero distincts itself from previous sequels with the new game mechanics, and is worth playing.

User Rating: 8.8 | Resident Evil 0 GC
Resident Evil Zero may look like the other sequels in the series, but it is far from it.

Gameplay is innovative. Storing items in a magical item box is no longer necessary because Zero uses an item dropping/picking system. There is also the new double-team-tag system where switching between characters is as easy as clicking a button.

Graphics are excellent. It looks just as good as the Resident Evil remake and has some amazing cinematic cut scenes.

Sound is great. Everything from the moaning zombies to the sound of bullet shells hitting the ground make the game an enjoyable experience.

Value is fair. It doesn't have the replay value other Resident Evil games offer but the quest will last 15-25 hours. There is also a timed scavenger hunt that is unlocked after completing the game.

Overall, Resident Evil is a fun game. It's surprising that it was released so quickly after the Resident Evil remake, but It's able to distinct itself with the new game mechanics and is worth playing especially if you're a fan of series.
