Nice little game that is worth the buy but could so easily have been brilliant!

Red Ninja: End Of Honour is one of those few games that gives a glimpse of brilliance in an otherwise (unfortunately) flawed game.
This is most definetly a game suited only to those who have plenty of patience and a penchant for sneak kills and general ninja skills. People have compared it to PoP especially the later games and while in some ways i would agree i think that red ninja is far more rewarding and far more difficult.
There are parts of this game that are iritating and even downright horrible, the camera usage and habit of enemies hearing you sneak up on them when they couldn't possibly for example. That said it has redeeming features the main ones being very difficult scenarios (even on parts without enemies it can get really hard) and the sometimes puzzling approach to moving through levels.
Even though this game shows you where to go with video pans and signs on the walls deciding how best to get there is still a puzzle in itself. One feature that i am really thankful they put in is the ability to restart a particular level or part thereof without any really substantial penalty.

Definitely not a game for controller throwers but if you don't mind trying it again and again until you get it right it is pretty damn good!
