The best 2D platformer of all time, in console version!

User Rating: 8 | Rayman PS
I bought this game at the PlayStation Store for my PS3 yesterday, to check out how my favorite game of all time would be. And I was happy. And disappointed at same time.
So, this review will mainly compare the PC and PS version of the game. My score for the PC version? 10/10.

Rayman for PC had a easy-to-navigate menu, very helpful cheats, great levels, and most of all, the best soundtrack of all time. Unluckily, Ubisoft decided to go.. erm, let's just call it unoriginal. The music tracks from the PC version has been split up into badly looping pieces, and tiny, bad performed drum loops has been added instead of music in a few levels. This is dumb done, but it doesn't affect gameplay that much, so I live with it.
The levels are almost the same, great levels as on the PC, but a few of them are edited. Not edited to be better, just edited. But this is also only a few times, no big problem.
The controls are alright and the player physics are luckily the same as on PC, but the game is harder, for some reason.

The good thing about this version is that it doesn't need a very old system, because all the Playstation 2 and 3 models can run PS games.

Overall, great game, but not as good as on PC.
