Ratchet & Clank is one of the greatest platformers on the PS2. This third installment is by far the most polished yet. In fact, it is the greatest platformer to ever hit a Sony console. It's just brilliant. The new weapons are more powerful than ever before, and the new upgrade system is genius. There's just so much going on in this game. There is a cast of characters, new and old, which make the story all the sweeter. (Just so you know, I've gotten 100% completion in this game twice, so I've nearly memorized the entire game's layout.) They have, however, added a new multiplayer mode to the mix. This mode is fun, but it won't make you forget about the single-player campaign. The level design is genius, the graphics have improved, and the soundtrack is awesome. The game takes about eight hours to play through once, but I have spent about 250 hours on this game. If you're looking for a great game on the PS2, look no further than Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.
