I hate platformers that are really, really hard to play. I don't mind a game like Ikaruga, which I do own, for the GC, because the format is simple, yet hard to pull off. I don't even mind strategy games that are hard, like Front Mission 3, because it really makes you think.
I don't get people who enjoy playing the same level or boss 40 times and still have to come back to it the next day to conquer. THAT IS NOT FUN. IT'S STUPID. It should be hard to find something like a special weapon or power up, but not to just try to get through the game.
This game is fun to play, good to look at, the story is fun and has a good sense of humor. I like the multi-player, how your weapons can power up.
Music and sounds for the game are good, and you can get this game for a pretty reasonable price nowadays. If you have a PS2 and you liked the first game, this one is must have.
This game reminds me of Donkey Kong Country, in that it looks good, it not too hard to play and I actually have fun playing it, not wanting to throw my controller through the window, a.k. Jak II.
