One of my favorites right next to FF7.

User Rating: 10 | Ratchet & Clank 3 (Platinum) PS2
Lets start this out by saying the game has no problems of any kind. No weapon you think isn't very good, no overpriced equipment, no animation or sound that seems pointless or stupid or badly done, no menu color is wrong or level is repeated or looks bad. Not just no gameplay problems, the game has abosultely nothing wrong with it at all. t doesn't stop there. In this game, Ratchet has the magic pocket to end all magic pockets, because he pulls out a huge arsenal of awesome and massive weapons seemingly out of nowhere. About the weapons, not a single weapon will feel under or overpowered( besides the RYNO, ultimate weapon unlocked after you beat the game). Even at the end of the game, no weapon will be found useless or even slightly less useful than another weapon. Every weapon has 5 forms for you to level it up to, each time altering the weapons appearance, damage, and ammo. Sometimes the weapon will get specialties like extra mini rockets, poison damge, or a lock on feature that allows you to view enemy health. Health goes up each time you get enough nanobots( basically exp for weapons and Health) as do your weapons. Armor can be bought to completely alter Ratchet's appearance and give you more defense. Unlike in the previous games, there are very few gadgets and they serve more purposes than before. A decent diversity in enemies will keep you entertained and at any point the game will never be overly easy or challenging. As long as you pay attention, you'll live. Although the game is short, there's actually a lot to do. Skill points are special points you get for doing awesome stuff like sniping a certain amount of enemies on one planet or getting every sewer crystal or zapping a lot of enemies with the refractor. These points give you some cheats that that make the game more fun to play but don't make you more powerful. Some turn dropships into giant flaming ducks and others mirror the world and such. You can collect titanium bolts to unlock new costumes and collect trophies for a hidden secret once you collect them all. Collecting money has never been more satisfying. Money makes this nice ringing sound as you collect it and you know you'r racking up enough money for an ammo refill or new weapon or armor. If you're feeling tough, you can take on either a gauntlet or gladiator match in the Ahnilation Nation. There a lot of challenges that can actually get rather diffucult. The game has good storytelling and a lot of good jokes and humor along the way the will keep you rolling on the floor laughing. A masterpiece on the ps2 and an absolute must have. 10 out of 10.
