Suprise its actually not a kids game

I never played a ratchet and clank game, this one game with my ps3 system i got from my finace for christmas, along with uncharted 1 & 2. Since the uncharted games were one of the reasons I wanted the PS3 i played them first and then rented other PS3 exclusives and Ratchet just fell victim to classic neglect. I recently moved and found myself in that wierd fog where there isn't a kind of game i want to play, i'm just kinda of bored with everything, i throw a game in, i take it out 20 minutes later, its video game summer A.D.D. So i opened ratchet and clank and threw it in, expecting a game crossed between crash bandicoot and other kid friendly games, then an hour into it, i found myself actually laughing at the in game lines, and getting into the puzzles.

Gameplay:
Addictive. plain and simple. Not one box went by in the level i didn't have the urge to bust open for bolts. the shooting is sound, and the upgrades and over the top weapons make charging through as entertaining as any blockbuster game i've played.

Graphics:
PS3 quality cartoon graphics, the settinga and worlds look great, the art direction even though cartoony has a great, just fun feel to them, at no point did i not feel like the setting was dark and gloomy, every world had a setting that let you know, this game is light hearted and fun, i really liked that.

Overall
I just enjoyed the game, you don't have to put much into the game. You can get home from work, throw it on, and just blast away a couple hours and want to do more. For about a week, i wanted to go home from work and keep playing that game, when i was going through Video Game A.D.D. it kept my attention, and its a pretty cheap grab now.
