Excellent game, although a little dated. War of Emperium and Guild Wars in game bring an.....interesting element.

Fairly easy at first without special gear. There are practically no quests that require constant attention. Most monsters outside of bosses can be solo-ed by players, although playing with your friends or random people is much more fun. Player Merchants and Player Chatters in the streets of the capital city (Prontera) make entering there painful at the best of times. Lack of instructions make changing job classes difficult at times. Depending on the server you are on changes the cost of items, xp, job points (jp), and names of monsters you will see. Character naming can be....interesting, although most are more of the anime or video game variety... On the server I play on there are roughly fifteen different variations of the name Cloud Strife. The GMs are friendly and do their best to keep the game stable and fun for all involved but are limited in what they can do because of the program the game is written in (AEGIS 10). It makes adding things to the game difficult and removing things near impossible. Overall a great game with great players, an interesting world to explore, and challenging monsters to fight.
