one of the best MMORPGs I've evar played.

User Rating: 9.3 | Ragnarok Online PC
my review summary up top may not say alot since I dun play that many MMORPGs, but I love korean based or something close MMOs like gate to heavens, GUNBOUND!!!, or DO-online. anyways getting to ragnarok.... Graphics: FREAKIN AWESOME, ilove how it uses sprites and the characters are 2D, and the environment looks great (not on some parts, mainly in the dungeons). and the graphics doesn't take alot to work it, I have a bad video card and it works smoothly (like a HELLA good graphics card, working on Half-Life- 2). it looks unique and it's something that shouldn't be missed. Audio: the music is good, just like any other RPGs like when you're in town, it goes into a kind of happy cheery music, but if you go out of town the music basicly gets more intense. but there is one town where the music goes weird tho, Izlude, an ocean based town that's all blue and peaceful (think of a not very populated fisherman's warf in san francisco and all of the stores are houses), instead of having a really peaceful music like any other town, it goes into music as if you go in to a battle in final fantasy games. I'm like WTF. but I let it go cuz the town sucks, lol. ok main audio, It would be cool to hear footsteps instead of nothing at quiet parts, but the ambiance takes in tho so that's cool. like if you''re in a forest youy could hear birds chirping and the wind, and if you're in a dungeon you could hear weird stuff happening. the audio is pretty much like other rpgs or MMORPGs with a few twists to it. Gameplay: when I first saw the screenshots I thought that the controlls are based on the keyboard and on the arrowpads, but actually when I got to the game, Ragnarok is a point and click to move or attack game, and after awhile into the battles I see why that it's better than moving with the keypads. ok so at first you're just a novice and not very powerful, not even until you get your first job. so all of the novice stuff was past and I'm a swordsman now, and the power balance between the enemies I was fighting was great now, cuz they can't kill me unless it's an ambush. the fights are fun but sometimes you actually have to find your enemies cuz they're all somewhere you dunno. but the best way to level up and such is to go to Payon Dungeon and fight alot of skeletons. if you have a friend that's at level 93 and has a high Agility and and high dexterity, make him go with you to the dungeon and have him throw rocks on the enemy first before YOU attack. what this does is that the enemies will only attack your friend (stone thrower) an no one else until in dies but because of your friends HIGH agility the enemy can't hit him at all. lol that's prety much how I got from level 16 to 37 in one night lol. ok anyways the gameplay can be fun and addicting, but it's better for you to level up to about level 50 and go into a party and fight monsters that way, it'll have more chaos. so ragnarok is pretty much teh shea-t. if you dun have the money, just try out the 15 day trial. but if you do, GET RAGNAROK!!!!!!!
