Beauty just got a new name. The best shooter among racing games and the best racing game among shooters. Try it.
Another thing that stroked me a little was the IA... I must say that it took me more than half of a game to learn more or less movement patterns of enemy IA. This is rare when you cannot just stay behind cover and shoot. No... Here you have to switch weapons, move a lot and change equipped items in order to survive (I just want to say that I almost always play on the hardest available difficulty). And this is just great! Many types of enemies force you to use different weapons and items. So gunfight is one of the best in current FPS.
What I didn't like was boss fights. EASY! So easy it was actually strange. I do not know why was it, when mostly I had a problem fighting with regular enemies, but boss fights was very simple. Well. No game is perfect.
Story here is also nothing special. Rather typical. Go there do that. BUT. Locations are so distinctive, with different types of enemies that are smart, and traveling is also very fun. As I said at the beginning gunfight itself is so good you will not need much of story background to motivate you.
This is much better FPS than CoD:MW3 and in my opinion far better than Crysis 2. id Software made an excellent game. It's old school. And now with new DLC there's one more reason to buy it (another good thing is that DLC is not coming up after a week from games premiere. Real, descent DLC)
