While some may take a quick glance and think this is nothing more then another F-Zero, Wipeout or Fatal Inertia game they would be wrong. This game was graphically one of the best games of it's time, unfortunately in this fast pace racer players wont get much time to admire the games stunning visuals. The UI and Menus are beautifully and well designed and easy to navigate. The tracks are inspiring and each is set in a unique environment with some of the most realistic weather effects seen on the Xbox. If graphics aren't enough to interest you in this game then the music should; Junkie XL did Quantum Redshift's soundtrack and did an amazing job matching the style and attitude of the game with the music, no one else could have done the soundtrack better then Junkie XL. If the Trance and Ambient style of Junkie XL doesn't interest you then it's a good thing Quantum Redshift lets you take full advantage of the Xbox's custom soundtrack feature.

The game story isn't the most interesting story for a racing game; 100 years from now 8 racers will race against their nemesis whose home track is the same track just backwards and has slightly different weather. Each character speaks their own language and has their own craft with specialized weapons. The game gets harder as you progress through it and dose a great job of easing you into the next difficulty. There are a total of 16 unique racers and 9 amazing tracks. Quantum Redshift has several game modes as well as unlockable easter eggs that are worth unlocking, one of which is a speed blur effect that makes it seem as though you are going 2000 MPH. Quantum Redshift is a fun and highly addicting game suitable for female and male gamers of all ages and with four-player split-screen, you and 3 friends can enjoy what is certainly one of the best racing games you could ever play on the Xbox or Xbox 360.
