In Quake II you play as a marine sent to kill some evil aliens called Stroggs. There are a variety of weapons at your disposal including a blaster and a super shotgun. The single player campaign isn't that good-it's too repetitive-but the multiplayer is brilliant. All the weapons from singleplayer are available in multiplayer and there is a good selection of maps and gametypes. The graphics are definitely not good but the sound is great. If you like multiplayer buy this game. If you don't like multiplayer then don't buy it. Overall a potentially good game spoilt by bad single player.
