A really fun fighting game that has been over look by a lot of people and forgotten with time. Worth a trip to Ebay.

User Rating: 8.1 | Psychic Force PS
Summery - Psychic Force was an early Playstation title with an interesting battle system. As you probably know in most fighting games you could move left and right on screen to move closer or further from your opponent as needed to land attacks with weapons or fists. While in many you could also side step adding a little more to it there wasn't much difference. In Psychic Force however the characters all fly within a restrictive cube (Even if you wouldn't think their powers would allow them to) allowing you to battle at close range with quick attacks, knocking the enemy into the barrier cube or at range with each characters unique psychic abilities. Game play - As for game modes Psychic Force includes both the classic Arcade mode were you battle through characters until you reach the final boss and Story mode were you play through each characters story as you may have guessed to find out information like why some are fighting. Other Modes are Training what if you want to adjust to the controls before playing for the first time or if you want to practice some move combos like Wongs without being attacked. There is also Vs-Mode what if you have someone to play with could make the game last a good bit longer.

Graphics - The graphics are quite out-dated. While they may seem horrible to the "gamers" of today who only care about graphics when deciding if a game is worth playing and is any good they really aren't all that bad. Admittedly I don't know much of graphics so I can't really go into detailed information on the graphics but as long as you aren't one of the people who feel graphics must be so good it's like watching a movie you won't mind the aged blocky graphics.

Sound - Ah sound. The music of Psychic Force is truly great. The opening song and anime intro are some of the best I have seen and heard on a game. Feel free to look it up on Youtube. The in game music I believe is all done by Hideki Takahagi what to me doesn't mean much but to the people who follow such things may know of him. (I think it's him...) What I do know is that the music in game like Asian Labyrinth, Burning Storm, Freezing Point, Lunatic Crow, and Revenger to name a few are all quite good. Sadly I do not know the name of the opening song.

Value - The game is quite old now (The PS3 is now out and this was released around the time of the PS1 release) and has had a sequel (A DC version and a PS1 version with some extra characters) so as for money value you could get it quite cheap on ebay. In value of playing while it is a rather fun game to play there is sadly very little to do with only 1 un-lockable character so when you have defeated arcade and story more with every character, unless you have someone to play Vs mode with or are like me enjoy playing through games again and again sooner or later your done.

Tilt - I got this game with my Playstation and have loved it ever since. If you enjoy fighting I think you should really pick this up. Of course no game is everyones cup of tea.
