Crave deals World Championship Cards

Budget-priced card game for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable will feature cross-platform multiplayer.

Crave Entertainment is bringing a compilation of card games to Sony's PlayStation 2 and PSP featuring an online multiplayer mode that pits PS2 and PSP gamers against each other, the company announced today.

Crave, which is sharing publishing and developing duties on World Championship Cards, also revealed that up to eight people can play online at the same time. A few platform-specific features will also grace Crave's follow-up to its line of poker games. The PSP version of the game will support wireless, ad hoc multiplayer for up to eight players, while the PS2 version will interact with the system's USB headset and EyeToy camera. Both versions include a create-a-player mode.

Crave touts more than 30 varieties of card games, a list that includes solitaire, hearts, spades, bridge, gin rummy, crazy eights, and cribbage. The PS2 version of World Championship Cards will retail for $14.99, while the PSP version will cost $19.99.

that's true, ad hoc is almost useless because no one has the same games, it's cool that the game is cheap and these little compilations are fun and with being inexpensive like most psp games should be, i think they have the right idea

$5 difference resulting with the PS2 version being cheaper? Interesting. It sounds like a neat idea despite being a card game. Who knows, this might spawn into something even better. Say for instance a shooter pitting a PSP player against a PS2 player, that would be neat. Anything can happen at this point.

The PSP needs a lot of GREAT games instead of these MEDIOCRE games before anything big happens with cross-platform games.

Cross platform gaming between the psp and ps2 is a great idea. Hopefully we will see more of this with the ps3 and psp.

20 bucks for a PSP game thats good but not really that great of a game.Plus Ad Hoc really does not count for online play.
