Wow. I picked this game up Friday, now it's Sunday night and its pretty much eaten up my whole weekend. This seemed like one of those "who cares" games for the longest time, like you'd hear about it and you'd be "What? That's still being made? I thought it was canceled". But then the demo came out, and it was kind of mind blowing. And the game is actually way better then the demo. The psychic powers aren't just a gimmick - they're a whole new way to play a game like this. It's like the best Jedi game Lucas Arts never made. The control for levitating and throwing obects and enemies wihtout even touching them is just ridiculously cool. And don't even get me started on Mind Drain - recharge your psychic power by draining people's brains. If you sneak up on them, you even get a nice head exposion. And then you start to learn combos - you can levitate an enemy, throw him right at yourself, then before the guy hits you, tap Mind Drain - he will stop in mid-air as you drain him, then he will drop dead! Every area you come to, you can play so many different ways and combine the powers however you want. The story and the characters are kind of b-movie quality, but hey, b-movies are fun in their own way. Its a pretty linear game, but there are so many things to try I already played through it twice and I didn't get sick of it. The last time I played a game twice in a row was Silent Hill five years ago. Man. I want everyone to buy it so Midway makes a sequel - with multiplayer.
