PS2 tennis game heads stateside

Konami will bring its PlayStation 2 WTA-licensed tennis game to the US.

Konami of America has announced that it will release its PlayStation 2 tennis game, Power Pro Tennis-WTA Tour Edition, in North America. The game is licensed by the Women's Tennis Association and features more than 20 female pros, including such stars as Martina Hingis, Monica Seles, Serena Williams, and Lindsay Davenport. Power Pro Tennis-WTA Tour Edition features realistic ball physics, and the pace of the game varies depending on the different court types. Additionally, the AI is tuned to match the real-life characteristics of the actual pros. A four-player mode is also included.

Power Pro Tennis-WTA Tour Edition will be released for the PlayStation 2 in early 2002.
