Prototype is a great hack and slash game for the ps3.

When this game first came out I thought it looked weird and everyone I talked to either hated it or loved it, so I put off getting it. So there I was standing in the rental store and every new game was taken, and there I saw a copy of Prototype, so I figured What The Hell, I'll give it a shot. Prototype was a great game, it was so much fun and I regret not getting it sooner. The one thing I loved about this game was that every fight was really intense, I would get stressed out, my heart beating and if I died, all that hard work gone to waste, you get that urge to take the disc out and break it, but you don't this game just keeps drawing you back in. Ok, enough about that some other good things about this game are: A very entertaining and long storyline, Fantastic graphics, A beautiful wide open city you can roam, All the different powers may not be cheap to upgrade, but they sure are a lot of fun to use. Now like every game Prototype does have it's flaws. Some of the bad things about this game: The battles like I said are very intense, so as the game progresses the battles get harder and harder, meaning you die more, making some of the missions very frustrating, some of the battles are good challenges but some of them are just ridiculous. The city always lookes the same, you go to Chinatown and it looks almost identical to Harlem, the scenery never changes. The side missions are very dull, and useless to complete.Some of the the achievements are very difficult to complete, some of them you just have no desire to complete them.
This is a great game, it does have it's fair share of flaws, but what game doesn't. If you enjoy the hack/slash nature of games you want to play this. If you are sensitive to a lot of blood I really wouldn't play this, because there is A LOT of blood. Prototype is Definitely worth renting, I really wouldn't buy it.
