Name was Deacon on AVP2 and the Expansion. Man that game was so much fun...loved playing as the Heavy Pred...that Combistick plus the armor he wore was a beastly combo. As an xeno I favored the Drone over anything else. Marines and Corps were basically the same save for the equipment loadouts they got. That 360degree motion tracker was such a jerk. Made it nearly impossible to sneak up on a Corps player. I will always be a fan of the Pulse Rifle. Always. I remember a few of the Mods...the Spitter Alien was awesome! A good buddy of mine Tutonic_Monkey was awesome at Maps and Mods. ::EDIT:: Jacked up the word "beastly"

I had the same problem. I havn't the slightest clue how I got around it but the game is full of glitches like that. It was a little painful to play but I eventually found my way to the end...which isn't all that satisfying.

Haha Halo Riech...Hiel ze Mastah Chief! Reach has got me pretty excited too. I am not clear on what kind of game it will be in regards to FPS, RTS etc. but either way I'm probably gonna buy it. I don't play Halo anymore but thats not saying I won't get back into it. Mostly quit because of the players in the game...not so much the game itself.

Haha hell yeah. I have never used one myself but I have worked with the recon bots they control. Some OP is rolling this thing around ahead of a search and clear telling us where the bad guys are by using thermals, nvg, all kinds of high-tech gear. These things have the potential to save a lot of lives, thats for sure. Just can't wait to see the ones with machine guns mounted on them! >=-) Trouble is they are so freakin expensive.

Haha too right man. A $100 mic would be a total waste of money. Personally I think a $30 mic is too much for the quality they are.

[QUOTE="xxDEUCExx"]Man you forgot Aliens: Colonial Marines and Aliens vs Predator. AVP was the first game I ever played online back in the 90's and I have always been a HUGE fan of both Aliens and Predator. The AvP movies pretty much let me down but all of their seperate movies freakin ROCK!deadly_shuriken
That game comes out Jan 2010

Double checked at the local GameStop. It's slated to be released December 31, 2009 here.

I have always been into the Red Faction franchise starting way back on the N64 and Red Faction: Guerilla is no rotten egg. That game has been loads of fun ever since I first brought and entire building cascading downward on top of a group of enemy troops.

I forgot to mention that Colonial Marines seems to me to be similar to Left 4 Dead in the idea of the game. Squad based survivor style where teamwork is dog gone CRUCIAL especially here because each character has certain abilities that help the team advance through the game. Man I am so stoked for this one!

I've been using a Microsoft wireless mic for a few months now. It's good and bad in it's own ways. I never have gotten used to the thing on my ear...tends to get sore after a short while so I gotta change sides. Irritating. But it is rechargable and cordless means I don't have to worry about carelessly stepping on the cord before getting up causing the mic to be painfully yanked off my head. Its rechargable battery usually lasts me about two days before needing a recharge but I only play for an hour or two a night. When it is charging I revert to my old Microsoft wired headset. Much more comfortable. Microsoft could use a little help in the sound quality on both mics though. I don't know if it is already out there but I wouldn't mind seeing a wireless mic that wears the same as the wired ones to make it more comfortable. ::EDIT:: A wireless RECHARGABLE mic that wears like the wired ones.
