I was looking through some of your lists and nothing really strikes me. I hope Naughty Dog can pull off the Las of Us, but I'm a little cautious at this point. Right now I am trying to play all the great games of 2012.

[QUOTE="anime_gamer007"]Also, FF13 is not one of the worst games ever, I'd have to accuse you of hyperbole there. It definitely has pacing issues and design oversights but the music, the gameplay, the graphical fidelity and overall production value are all top notch. Certainly a game with such qualities is not one of the worst games ever. As well, Nathan Drake isn't an explorer, he's a treasure hunter, a thief. He follows a map and puts together clues like Indiana Jones. So, it stands to reason why the Uncharted games are linear. They're also trying to simulate a cinematic experience which no game has come as close to as Uncharted(except MGS).soundcellx

As for your other question, making something linear is streamlining, not necessarily casualizing.

And Final Fantasy XIII is one of the very worst games of all time, if not the worst game of all time. Have you even played it? Worst thing about it is that the game is a 30 hour long hallway corridor that doesn't let you do anything.

Drake is a treasure hunter, who goes into "uncharted" territory, implying that he actually does explore.

Cinematics need to go away from games. Putting a cinematic experience over gameplay is another thing that ruins games.

Or developers could continue making linear, cinematic games and open world games or whatever types you enjoy? Mario is linear and things happen the same way every time but people still love Mario and other platformers. People have different tastes and I'm glad I don't like every game that comes out, since I would be broke or want every game.

I bought Uncharted day one. Short, single-player, linear game - and I loved it! Played through maybe 5 times now over the years, so I'd say it's worth it. Usually I do wait for a price drop though, but not always.

I haven't played the game but what is overrated? Some people liked it and some people didn't. Did you maybe overhype it for yourself based on others opinion? I thought it looked interesting but just haven't gotten around to playing it.

I prefer the first one more, so maybe pick that up cheaper. I guess it depends if you prefer open world type games or more zelda style games. Arkham asylum is more like Zelda which I prefer more. What I mean by that is it's fairly linear, but you then you generally get to a dungeon, get a new weapon, use that weapon, etc. There are a few open areas but for the most part it's linear.

Arkham City is more open. The main story is linear but there are lots of side quests. The side quests just didn't seem that important to me and I generally get bored in more open style games.

Again, I would say it depends what style of game you like more. Just my 2cents.

To me I can see the resemblance, but don't immediately think of ellen page when I see Ellie. Won't bother me one bit.

I wouldn't buy a used fat PS3. Mine was awesome and no signs of breaking and then one day it got the Yellow Light of Death. I have 2 other slim PS3's and have had them a little over a year. I haven't had any major problems (crosses fingers), but they do freeze a lot more than my fat one did. Personally I love my PS3's though and think they are a great value. If you have a Costco American express, you automatically get an extra year warranty when you purcahse electronics with it at costco (so 2 years).

In summary, buy one! and a warranty wouldn't hurt.

Maybe not everyone here is from the US, but I don't get the rarity angle. I have seen it at a bunch of stores around me and currently you can buy it new on amazon for $18.60 or used for about $13. I've debated whether to get this game or not, maybe I'll have to pick it up.

I was slightly dissapointed after my first playthrough, but I decided to go back and playthrough it again and it ended up being my favourite of the series. I enjoyed it so much on my second playthrough that I ended up beating for a third time in a month.

It's now my favourite game of all time. Right up there with Uncharted 2, Resident Evil 4 andHitman Blood Money.

This is exactly how I have felt about all of the Uncharted games. I have bought all of them on launch day (and I'm guessing I'm one of the few since the first Uncharted was somewhat unknown), and each game I thought was just good my first play through, but with each game the more I beat it the more I loved it.

I don't know why that is, especially since I rarely beat games multiple times. It seems like the first time I play an uncharted game, it is a little bit trial and error. The more I play it though, the more I know each level and it opens up possibilities for each section, except the platforming since that is obviously very linear. Just my experience though.

I really enjoyed the game. I got the platinum trophy and it took me about 25 hours to 100% the single player game. There are collectible cards in the game to play a card game similar to Magic. It's pretty simple but I probably put at least a few hours just into that. Also, the shooting is really smooth and satisfying. Enjoy!
