@roler42: Fair enough. I guess I was getting at the idea that its not just a console issue. Although I agree it does seem more common.

@roler42: all gamers do. The top games on Steam and mobile have microtransactions.

@CJBlaney0: The DLC is free for the game. The items you get only work on one mode of the game and you can only use then after meeting certain criteria. Meaning if you had 10 tanks and you aren't very good you might only get to spawn one of them toward the end of a match.

@rebfaction: There is no sweet deal to "exclude gamers." There are just deals that make people money. Square went hunting for money (like they have done with FF7 remake btw) and found some. If every game was truly for everyone then every game would be on the PC.

I'm getting both. Loved the Tomb Raider reboot. I'm actually not fond of Fallout 3 but I did like New Vegas.

With GCU this comes out to a pretty decent deal.
