For those of you who have no clue how Minecraft can be education there are many purposes.

3d structures (like basic x,y,z graphs) (or complex 3d fractals) can be seen much more easily thanks to the beauty of the Minecraft 3d engine

Redstone in minecraft is quite literally electricity (in a rather simple form)

But sadly this will not become the medium or even close to a common practice. There are enough of "games" out there for educational purposes like bridge building

I really wish there was AI that would mimic or counter your preferred strategies so you can turn the computer's common flaws into the computers great strategy. Has anyone else wanted to verse themselves in games types from RTS,FPS,Racing or Street Fighting games.

As our world becomes more and more electronicized more and more people go to the electricity, be it e-books, I-phones etc. Hardcore Gamers... you know that person that does not understand how you love immersing yourself into video games. Well those people would not like hardcore games because they find that it is just not what they like. But when they can chat with their friends while harvesting their plants they will be happy. Hardcore Gamers on the other hand prefer to play team games with their friends and be immersed. Overall I don't think that the Hardcore games are losing players (in-fact they are gaining players but that is only natural) It is just that the % of Hardcores is going down because of people playing their social games. Don't worry about the future because if there is demand there will always be supply! =)
