Nice, now all we need to hear about is GTA5. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.

I'm primarily a PC gamer these days as most of the games I want are hitting the PC and consoles (although, I'm not thrilled with the console to PC ports of late). My current 360 Elite and PS3 are gathering dust as very few console related games that are coming out, interest me. My preferred FPS system is the PC with the use of the mouse and keyboard, while my preferred RPG system are the various consoles. Unfortunately, the RPG selection of late is completely abysmal. I purchase my games retail, unless they use DRM. I will wait days after a release to find out what type of DRM they have and I will either by the retail version, by the STEAM version, or just avoid the game all together. Shoot, I just upgraded my system to a really nice AMD Phenom II 720 BE with all the bells and whistles. hehe. So, of course I want more PC games on my system. Example of a game that I have avoided because of DRM is Dark Athena, which came out with a heavily restricted DRM and I refused to buy the game. I have a tendency to reinstall my OS every couple of months or sometimes more frequently if I am fooling around with various tweaks or adding new hardware (upgrade HD's and the like). So, I tend to reinstall my games fairly often, and the limit of three to five installs will disappear fairly quickly at that point. Another good example would be BIoshock, which pretty much required me to reinstall my OS after its lovely DRM set off a BSoD after I installed the game. My new system hasn't had that problem, thankfully, but I was not very thrilled with 2K after that. I will think twice and do some serious research before I purchase another game from them. It also made me pause on the purchase of GTA4 as well, which luckily didn't give my new system any problems. Except the IV wasn't nearly as good as GTA3 and Vice City. DRM has basically, turned my PC gaming purchases into a wait and see mode. I have to waste time doing research to see if this particular DRM is safe enough to install on my system. Thats if I decide to purchase the game at all. Whats the point of me having to jump through hoops to play a game I purchased. You want to put DRM on the bloody game then drop the price to free and you can pay me for wasting my precious time on fooling with it. Sooner or later more people are going to get fed up with DRM and probably will head to the pirate side of things. I just won't waste the mony on upgrading my system, as if all else fails I have World of Warcraft, GTA3, GTA: VC, and the Call of Duty series to help with my gaming fix.

Hmm, I spent 40 hours reading last week (burned through Turn Coat last week in about 8 hours). Does that mean I have an addiction to books? Shoot, I had a nightmare last night about being chased by motherboards because I couldn't find an Intel board that liked for my old E8400 while I build my next AMD gaming machine....maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that. lol. That doesn't necessarily mean I have some form of an addiction. I think people need to realize that the human animal is pretty much 110% nuts to begin with. The US as a whole is filled with people who basically lacking in the mental department (~raises hand~). Shoot, I wouldn't be surprised if those who are truly the most whacked out are the shrinks themselves. As my signature usually states: "Sanity is a myth, anyone who thinks they are sane are just crazier then the rest of us." So, I'm pretty sure there are at least some people out there who have taken gaming to some really stupid levels. I think gaming addiction is just another way for people to blame something other then themselves for their idiotic behavior. Like blaming the GTA series, because you went out and killed a bunch of pedestrians with your car. Its just another indication that people aren't willing to take responsibility for their lives and their actions.

Final Fantasy #4? Please, that was a hell of a lot better than Super Mario or even Zelda. Contra and Metroid should have been moved up as well. Anything with Mario in it shouldn't even be in the top 50 games. They even left out the Dragon Warrior series. I would have said: 1. Final Fantasy 2. Metroid 3. Contra 4. Dragon Warrior ...... 50. Super Mario Brothers
