With the multi-media aspects of the PS3 that is why I created this topic. A person can have a gaming console, play moives, stream videos, voice chat, music, internet bowser all in their living rooms will push sells. Although, the price for it is hefty.
Oh to answer your question I think their are some who do like seeing flying things. I guess that the reason why they play it.

Considering avatars are restricted to HOME issued customizations and private media is only displayed in personal "homes" I don't think that will be an issue.

I think Home can be used as an advatage just as much as an exclusive game.

Because people easily forget what happened in the past...compared to what is happening now.
Like for instance...I started beating the crap out of my puppy..then tommrow I treat it like an angel...the puppy will forget what happened yesterday...or ignore it.

I don't know....Wii and Ps3 is debatable...I really can't tell who will win this gen...as much as the 360 is unbelieably better then the xbox1....I don't see it beating the ps3 in 2008/2009...the years I think sony will strike back.
I think wii may win hardware wise....but software wise...
Well their gonna need that one surge to even the race. And that may come. But even after than, I don't think the hardcore system can compete with the little user friendly system. And many of you are right. Games like Gran Tursimo 5 can sells 20 mill systems by itself easily. And thats how they do good, is by selling the world. And when MGS4, on a 60 latter or not. Its going to be MGS4 wold for the PS3. Same with FF, FF could even go 60 and it wond not sell the world, like FF for the PS3 will. But the world also likes its little Wii alot. And can you imagin if they ever use the cell latter on what happens lol. So they'll do good, but wont pass the wii.
As long as Sony delivers what they are promising on Home then the PS3 will have its own service system. Which will increase the user base on the PS3 network.
I'm just hoping Home doesn't turn into second life x.x
