@Gbullet: I'd rather have shitty MGS and not play it, than having Silent Hill ruined by Silent Hills, was so glad when it got canceled, since it was everything but a Silent Hill game

I love anime watched... way too many lol, but every anime live action adaptation which was done wrong had nothing to do with characters being white washed, but makers shitting all over property introducing their "great" improvement ideas.

Like they did with setting and story of GitS. Or how they've changed personalities of L and Light in Death Note and so on...

SAO has little to no relevance to Japan, and characters can easily be switched around race wise whichever way and just have their names changed and nothing would be lost.

On other hand... over 90% anime characters don't look like Japanese anyway...

@chiefwiggum16: Is that research of yours another one of your "facts" or did it actually happen?

Anyway... if they disliked MS that much, they wouldn't bother posting a review so soon and wouldn't test it out properly either (as in, review would just spend few hours on it). 2nd, Sony has no RTS games for PS4, so no point in fanboy reviews botching PC RTS. 3rd if anything they'd be eager to give it higher score since they've received pre-release code from publisher, meaning that bad review might mean they won't get another code from same publisher.

However since you actually didn't play AoE1DE, you don't really have any claim on them botching reviews, just because they gave lower scores to AoE1, that it actually deserved higher score than 6, or then it got on Metacritic. One could spin the story and say, all those good scores on Metacritic are based on nostalgia, have nothing to do with actual game at hand, or are based on 3rd rate review sites receiving pre-release code and were scared they wouldn't get another one (basically only two major sites reviewed the game, GameSpot and Destructoid (yes I don't count IGN it and es as big sites)).

Or hey, since pro reviewers can be bought. How about we check user scores on Metacritic? 4.9 hm... So many Sony fanboys ruining PC game scores (which don't affect their console at all).

@chiefwiggum16: Check Forza series please before you bring up "facts" most games got higher score than metacritic average, think that only FM7 got 8 while it's 86 average on metacritic which again isn't exactly lower since GS doesn't do scores with decimals anymore.

Then check Halo series where only Halo Wars 1 and 2 and Spartan Assault got lower than Metacritic scores.

Gears of War is half-half.

So you're basing your "facts" on AoE1DE review... review of the game you've not played yet it's safe to assume?

@sephirothswing: quite easily, many games have been run over by time, AoE1 wasn't that good game to begin with, if you compare it to games of it's time and it got 6.8, by the time AoE2 came out it wouldn't deserve that score anymore, because AoE2 was huge improvement in every aspect.

20 years later reskined AoE1 is released, with many other titles to compare it to, and many issues from the original persisting... it's good it didn't get a 5.

@johno357: Krush Kill 'n' Destroy came out in March of 1997, it's an RTS set into post-apocalyptic world, after nuclear war (2079), one part of humanity stayed on earth, mutated due to radiation (Evolved), the other part remained under under the earth and stayed as normal humans, except with advanced technology (Survivors). In year 2140. Survivors who stayed under the earth, broke out onto surface and war started out between two factions. KKND2 adds 3rd faction Series-9, which are self conscious robot faction, which went haywire after nuclear war, since they were agricultural robots, after nuclear war, earth was left barren, which means they had also lost their purpose for existing.

Series is cult classic of sorts. Thought to be "killed" by Starcraft actually, which is why I've mentioned it.

I've played KKND2 2 years ago and it's still definitely worth a play (I've also played AoE1 soon after that, and dropped it after I've finished the 1st campaign)

"But, again, this game hails from 1997, a year before Starcraft, when the idea of having factions with unique traits in strategy games was only just being considered."

Ever heard of KKND?

@mighty-lu-bu: Yeah would be nice, but other than adding 6th world, adding few more items, making farming easier and rebalancing magic, I wouldn't want them to go out too much and ruin the game.

@regix416_basic: That thing is the same as in DS1, in DS1 you must make a run before jumping too. I actually think DS2 is better than DS1.
