@phili878: Who knows if any of us will even be alive in spring of 2022? Hell, some of us may not even be alive in the next hour. You never know what will happen. You're welcome.

@danthelad14: It's a good idea and really helps. I remember how hard it was for a lot of people to get a Wii when it first came out. I went to Toys R Us on launch day and it was obviously sold out. I just asked them to call me when they had more and they called back not even a week later.

Put your name on a list, they'll call you when it's your turn. Simple.

Never really paid attention to this but I see a lot of people complaining about bots buying multiple consoles for scalper. How does one go about getting a bot for future launches? Asking for a friend...

Just kidding. Hopefully everyone who wants one can get one sooner than later. The store I went to took more pre-orders than consoles they think they'll be getting. They said they may get 30 or so, and then just call people on the list once they have more in store.

@fanboyman: already sold out at bestbuy here. The EB games and Gamestop websites aren't loading, I assume people are trying to check to see if they can be ordered there as well.

Preorders were already available on bestbuy. ca but they have already sold out. $629 (about $718 after tax) Canadian or $499 for the digital only version. $89 for a controller.

@durantftw: I was more talking about them including a game and a controller, but keeping the price low, or the same. Obviously won't ever happen because they know they can charge over $90 for an additional controller and they'll sell tons of them. It was just wishful thinking.

@durantftw: You don't have any friends who you play with? No cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, parents, neighbors? Nobody? If that's the case, you could always just keep it as a backup controller in case yours breaks, or you could even sell it, or give it to someone who did need it.

You could always do the same thing with the game as well, but I doubt you wouldn't have played Super Mario World. I'm pretty sure you would have played the crap out of it back when it first came out.

Those consoles were also fairly cheap too, so getting those extras was a bonus.

@slypher9: Consoles used to come with 2 controllers AND a game. They are selling controllers for a nice tidy profit, you just didn't realize it.
