It's good to see C&C getting some attention. After all, it paved the way.

@ gabi098 - "I bought it There for I own it." This is not entirely true. The issue that DRM attempts to address is the notion that many gamers have of, "Owning," everything on this disk they purchase. All you own when you buy a game is a little booklet, a cardboard box, and a little plastic disk. You do not own ANYTHING on that disk you purchase. Yes, it is wrong for them to decide how you use the game you bought (as long as it within the law), but they do have a right to protect their digital work from duplication. Making others with different user accounts on the same PC pay to play, however, is indeed wrong. The same is true with something as simple as a photograph. If a professional photographer takes a photograph for you and you pay for the photograph, do you actually own the photograph? No, you do not. Even if the photographer gives you a CD containing the raw image data for the photo he/she took, you are still not the legal owner of the photographer's work, and permission must be obtained to have a printed again (unless you really like the idea of being sued for violating their copyright of their work). I don't mean to seem rude, but you did not specify when you made that statement. If it was implied, I suppose I missed it. I personally know a lot of people who think they actually own the game when they buy it, and they therefore think they can decompile any game they buy (legally). This is not the case, and I know I am probably preaching to the choir here anyway. I am VERY much opposed to intrusive DRM systems such as SecuROM and Starforce. Hell, my PC suffered significant damage after Soldiers: Heroes of WWII and Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood. I'm all for the good 'ol CD key approach. I also don't mind online activation as long as I only do it ONCE and NEVER again.

I am curious to see how COD: 4 will turn out. To be honest, I have some doubts about how it will turn out, but seeing how well the rest of the Call of Duty series has done, I am anxiously awaiting its release so I can give it a try. As for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, I'm not sure I've forgiven Ubisoft and Gearbox yet for Starforcing the other two. I guess I will have to wait and see.
