I have given up on digital games. I gave it a fair chance for a while, but I find a lot of games are more expensive to download and take a dang long time download and install, compared to just grabbing some games at Gamestop. Also, It is nice being able to get a refund if i didn't like a game, or sell it after I played it all I could ever want to, or trade it towards a nice new game, or bring it to a friend's house who might not have internet access, or lend it to a friend, or just store it on the shelf to play 20 years later whenever I please and not be dependent on my ISP being up and the digital store/authenticating server still being in service...
According to this infographic image: The Vita showcased 16 titles, PS3 showcased 9 first party titles and 14 third party titles, Xbox360 showcased 3 first party titles and 18 third party titles, Wii showcased 7 first party titles and 3 third party titles, and the 3DS showcased 8 first party titles and 7 third party titles. When did they show those Wii and 3DS games?
Weird, they said E3 was June 7-9 this year, but this schedule is clearly the 6-9. I guess they just wanted an extra lead in. ...though, I kinda wished they saved the big conferences for the end to finish with a bang and to give smaller announcements a chance to gain some viewership before the media channels get flooded by the news from the big conferences.. Also, Why isn't Konami holding a press conference this year? Was last years debacle bad enough to get this year's conference canceled???
Hmm...I understand everyone is a cynic, but really this gloom and doom for the rest of eternity scenario is just wholly pessimistic. Sony is giving 1 year of free identity protection, 2 free PS3 games, free PSP games, 1 month free premium PSN access, 1 month free premium music service, a weekend of free video stuff, and 100 virtual items in PS Home. Add to that they gave a formal apology in writing, a formal apology at a conference with a bow of humility, and a formal apology video cast. I could never see Microsoft or Apple being so giving or polite. They both usually point their blame as user error before considering they had made a design flaw (Except MS really did know about the extremely high failure rate of the xbox 360 for the first few years it was out before finally fixing it). BTW, how is this for a "Reality Check": 0 of the 77,000,000 account holders have reported identity theft or credit card theft related to this incident. :P
