ok here goes.... go ahead and put Intels newest stuff against AMD's last gen, and they are pretty much neck and neck. I have a hard time believing that cnet, the almighty cnet, couldnt "find" an AM2 board laying around their "labs", but they could just "throw in" and Extreme Edition Pentium. Oh yeah let us not forget that you are comparing DDR to DDR2 also... why not even the tables and actually test new vs new instead of giving the intel processor the 6 foot DDR2 sword and AMD the 2 foot DDR sword... i bet if u ran the same tests with DDR2 and an equal FSB for both machines, AMD would dominate... end of story...
